Brotherly Love

As most of you know our family has been patiently waiting for a liver transplant for my brother Cris. After 16 long months and several  critical close calls, it happened... On August 1st at 6am the call came. Cris' transplant coordinator was on the other end to say... today's the day, a match was found. Cris underwent an 11 hour surgey on August 1st and remains in ICU on a ventilator due to lung complications. We have given all obstacles and praises to the lord, as we all know he is the almighty healer! Although such a precious gift was given we were also very aware for this to be possible a loved one was lost. We continue to pray for that family(who we will sending an anonymous thank you to through the national life net). Our family hopes that all will consider saving other lives and becoming an organ donor. Cris is expected to be in Richmond for at least a month and as all can imagine travel expenses, lodging and food have become quite costly. We will continue to keep everyone posted on his status.
