Cyclone IDAI Fundraiser for Mozambique

Mozambique (Southern African Country) was struck by a deadly cyclone shortly after experiencing flash flooding of the Revue River basin in the Tete district. The Cyclone Idai made its landing in Beira on 14 March affecting more than 1.5 million people, leaving a death toll of approximately 100 and more still missing. The catastrophic event destroyed approximately 90% of Beira’s infrastructure  (roads, hospitals, schools) as well as  cutting off victims from help. Thousands of families have been left homeless, with no shelter, food, water, medicine, clothing and other basic amenities.

A global aid appeal has been launched by various organizations in a bid to raise funds to assist the affected families. As Mozambican Scholars studying in the UK we are calling upon well wishers to join hands with us and contribute towards assisting the victims of the cyclone. The funds raised will be used to help provide victims with non perishable food products, potable water, water treatment products, medicine,  clothes, shoes, kitchen utensils and bedding material.

We are here in the UK but our hearts are with those affected at home. Help us make a difference. No contribution is too small. The contributions will be deposited into Pamela Antonio's Bank account and will be transferred to International Organisation of Migration (IOM) who will be responsible for the distribution to the funds in Mozambique.

Kindly assist by sharing this appeal to all who might be able to aid this cause.

Thank you for your attention
