Ovarian cancer is a disease that can disrupt the normal function of the ovaries. If it’s left unchecked, it can affect other parts of the body too. Ovarian cancer occurs when abnormal cells within the ovary start to multiply, creating a tumour. But it’s important to note that not all tumours are cancerous. Non-cancerous tumours are called benign tumours. This means they don’t usually spread to other parts of the body. They may need treatment but they’re rarely life threatening. Malignant ovarian tumours are cancerous and can be life threatening.
In line with this, I, Apolinario D Dalu, am asking for any amount of donation for my sister, Leonora D. Dalu, who was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer Stage 1C G3. We are all praying that she can be cured. However, her doctors are recommending treatment that will cost us a lot. She will be having scheduled 3 chemotherapy sessions on August 6, August 27, and September 17, 2014. And each session will cost 40,000 Pesos that exclude other medical expenses. She is also diagnosed with Thalassemia (are forms of inherited autosomal recessive blood disorders) which is also adding on her pains.
We are asking for any donation that you can make to help save my sister. Whatever you can give will be welcomed and received with deep appreciation for your assistance.
