Shelley's Next Big Hurdle
Let me tell you about my best friend SHELLEY....
This beautiful woman has a heart of gold. She is not only my best friend, but also a loving Mother, Wife, Daughter, Sister, Grand-Daughter, Aunty, Cousin and fantastic friend to many.
Shelley was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer two years ago. After 2 surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation therapy, she was given the good news that she was clear.
Sadly, she has just been re-diagnosed after finding another 2 lumps in the same breast. Shelley is booked in to have a Mastectomy next week. Unfortunately, this operation has to be privately funded, as there is a longer wait to have the surgery through the public health system.
Shelley is a Mother to 4 beautiful children. She has also just started a new career in Family Day Care. Her husband Matthew is a Primary School Teacher.
Depending on the need for further surgery or more chemotherapy, her recovery could take several months. Therefore Matthew is stepping back from his job to take care of their children.
As this is a huge financial burden on the family, I am hoping to help raise some funds to assist her with the cost of surgery and with her long road to recovery.
