Co-worker in need of vehicle

See the updates section as well as the comments section for a thank you from Brandt! -=-Story-=- I'm trying to raise money and help my co-worker, Brandt, buy a car to utilize as means of transportation from home to work and back. In the middle of May of 2017, Brandt's vehicle broke down with too many unaffordable repairs needed to keep that vehicle running. He began riding his bicycle to work, but because of his location of residence, it was a 2.5 hour ride to work (19 miles) and then the same to get back home, in the Texas heat. Once another co-worker and I found out about his situation (2 months later), we worked out a schedule so that we could split up the week and give him rides back and forth to work. We've been doing this since the middle of July, 2017. Later, a third person joined our efforts on our shift and gives him rides home on Sunday mornings when the two of us are off. One of our managers will give him a ride home on another shift so that he can get some overtime hours by working a double shift when the hours are available. Being the sole provider of his household, he hasn't been able to save much money for a car. This is where I'm hoping that we can step in and assist him. He's a kind person, a hard worker and has not once asked for any assistance in his situation, and was/is highly appreciative of our offer to help him in the ways that we can. I'm his supervisor and I can honestly speak volumes of good thins about this guy. One of the biggest complements that I can give him from a supervisory perspective, is that it doesn't matter what's coming his way, he does what he's asked to do and after three years, I have yet to hear him complain about his job. Even when riding his bike to work, he'd always show up early for his shift, ready to begin performing his duties. I'm using GoFundMe so that we might be able to get him a used vehicle. Preferably a Toyota Corolla or another car in that category. Something small with great gas mileage and dependable so that it will last at least a few years with proper maintenance and care. Nothing would please me more than to exceed this goal so that we can get him a vehicle with lower mileage (if not a new car) and a lot of life left. Originally, the goal was set at $3,000, but that has been exceeded and I'm letting this campaign run at least until the middle of next month so that more money can be earned to buy a better vehicle.
