Cheltenham Community NHS COVID-19 Appeal

The COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic is a growing national emergency that has the potential to effect every household in Cheltenham.
During this time it is crucial that the community comes together in order to support the staff of Cheltenham General Hospital (CGH), Gloucestershire Royal Hospital (GRH), innovative community organisations supporting the NHS and by default the wider Cheltenham community. Not only is this an investment in the heroes of the NHS it is an investment in ourselves and our own families.
We want to do as much as we can in order to relieve the immense stress and strains that NHS personnel will face during this unprecedented crisis and we desperately need your help and support to do this.
We will utilise well established supply chains and contacts in order to acquire products requested by the Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals staff, its management and charity.
Our initial fundraising target is £5000. We will increase this if and when the target is close to being achieved. We do not have to wait until the target has been reached in full in order to release funds to assist NHS staff. We can start to release money as soon as the donations start coming in.
We will share information about every purchase throughout a number of social media platforms including the Cheltenham Guardians Safeguarding Team facebook page and the COVID-19 Cheltenham Community Network facebook group as well as this gofundme platform.
These are scary and uncertain times but what IS certain is the need for us all to support our NHS staff and community throughout the troubling weeks ahead. We are not just raising funds, we are raising spirits too. Cheltenham please dig deep.

This fundraising initiative is undertaken by Terry Howard the Operations Director of the Cheltenham Guardians Safeguarding Team on behalf of the COVID-19 Cheltenham Community Network. Receipts for all purchases will be available for verification at any time.
