COVID-19 Mobile Vaccination Clinic

Pliable Mobile Clinic Video

Hello! We are two nurse practitioners who were laid off from a large hospital system in December 2020.  We started Pliable to provide accessible mindfulness resources using our neuroscience backgrounds. Except....COVID.

We realized the need to vaccinate our neighbors was paramount, so we chose to be pliable- and we started a mobile vaccine clinic.

We aim to timely and equitably increase access to the COVID-19 vaccine in underserved and disproportionately impacted groups throughout Washington. We have focused on BIPOC, refugee, and immigrant communities, and are making plans to support individuals with disabilities or special needs, as well as our agricultural workers and their families. We are distributing the COVID-19 vaccine to these communities with a mindful and culturally sensitive framework.

So far, we have delivered ~21,300 vaccinations to disproportionately affected communities. The WA DOH and King County Public Health have been overwhelmingly supportive of our efforts as well as our abilities to fill in gaps that many large corporations/systems have been overlooking in vaccine distribution and allocation. We are proud to say that Pliable was 'doing right' before it became a state-driven goal to 'do right'.

The Ask:

It is with deep gratitude and humility that we are now accepting donations to continue our clinic and expand our reach.   We are trying to get grants, but we cannot receive state and federal grants due to our LLC status.  We haven't been able to receive bank loans as we are such a new organization.

Unfortunately, we are now struggling to keep up given that we have used our savings to cover everything, and have not received any reimbursement

Please help us continue to address barriers to access and expand our equitable vaccination practices.

100% of your gift will fund supplies necessary to continue vaccination efforts.

Supplies include (but not limited to) :
emergency medical equipment, sharps containers, service to remove sharps containers, mobile storage containers, specialized refrigerators/freezers and data loggers, mobile van, access to rural sites, cleaning supplies,  safety equipment, required signage, gauze, bandaids, water and snacks for our volunteers- the list goes on. But it's worth it.
