We believe that everyone should be able to be safely tested for the COVID-19 virus. This is why we are developing a new product in the NanoCuvette™-series which is specialized to test for the COVID-19 virus.
The product is part of our groundbreaking pathogen testing platform that can turn instruments used for food testing, drinking-water quality, production quality control, research and education in schools into mobile testing stations for digital diagnostics – adding critical extra capacity to any national effort right now against corona.
Our expert team has put all hands and heads together to develop and produce the NanoCuvette™ SARS-CoV-2 as fast as possible, so our test can help identify who is sick, who is immune and who is in risk of becoming sick. We want to help track the virus, suppress transmission and support informed based decisions.
The entire sequence from sample acquisition to results takes under 5 minutes making this test applicable for mass testing of the population. The test is perfect for checking healthcare personal or company employees before their shift starts. This way everyone can feel safe at their workplace.
To test for the virus, our product only needs a sample of saliva from the patient. This sample gathering is non-invasive and you do not risk getting for example bacteria into the patient. Our novel test method has many benefits:
1. Everyone will be able to be safely tested. We need more alternatives that, in a fast and secure way, ensure that we can test for corona-virus. With our solution, existing instruments in schools, universities, hospitals and companies can be used directly to quantify antibody levels in the population several times a week by spitting into a cheap plastic container.
2. The process is digital. We can make it possible to test thousands of people by making the workflow digital around quality assurance and reporting. With us, our digital solution checks that the biological recognition is functional before the test starts, that the test precedes as it should, provide a reliable result and afterwards stores the data digitally.
3. Danish quality ensures reliability. Danish production and digital traceability for each test ensure high reliability.
4. Affordable prices. Our test method requires significantly less antibody per test compared to traditional antibody tests. Therefore, we can offer a starting price of 15 $ per test, ie cheap enough for people to take a test when they meet at work or school in the morning.
We have already collected 408 700 DKK in a Danish campaign (about 60,000 USD) and we have started the work. However, lab work and nanotechnology are expensive and we still need a bit more financial help in these difficult times to finish the work and get this product on the market as fast as possible. The more money we can raise, the faster it goes for FDA approval and into mass-production. It is by your help that we can deliver affordable testing for everyone!
