The story of sister Islam will both break your heart and inspire you at the same time.
Sister Islam was my sister's former classmate back in Turkey who helped my sister when she had troubles going around Turkey - she was always there to help. Now, she needs our help and we would like to make sure she is taken care of as she had taken care of my sister!
Sister Islam is currently studying alone pursuing her bachelor in Political Science and International Relations in Isik University in Turkey and in need of funds to continue studying, as she is affected by Covid-19 - she lost her part time job that sustained her education and helped support her family back in her country Gambia.
Sister Islam lost her father 3 years ago (may God have mercy on his soul). And for about a year now her mom has fallen sick while having to take care of her 5 siblings there.
Your donations will provide ease and peace of mind in order for her to continue studying and not worry about her family as much.
She aspires to help suffering countries with conflict management revolution, believing everyone deserves the right to a good life, peace, and education. And further her skills in critical thinking of political scientists to study and explain government and legislative processes so that people can be better informed about policies that impact their communities, states, and the country.
She also wishes to open an organization to educate the muslim young women to be productive. To empower them to work in case the breadwinner (usually the men) dies and the family won't have to suffer.
Sister Islam is an asset to society and we need to help her achieve her dream to make a difference in the world.
We only have until Oct 20 to make sure she can at least pay half of her fees! We would really appreciate all the help we can get, and I will be updating this page with a receipt that shows she has received the money.
