Covid-19 Relief for the birds

Many of my fellow Western New Yorker's may know me from the many school or eldercare visits. I have been called "The Bird Man" by many of you and am usually seen with a bird of prey on my arm. I founded Wild Spirit Education, Inc. back in 1996 to bring nature into the classroom. Since that time, Wild Spirit has grown over the years to the point where we educate tens of thousands of people each year about the wonders of nature.

The Covid-19 pandemic has affected all of us in different ways. For me and Wild Spirit it means a loss of income to support our educational animal ambassadors. Schools have closed. Eldercare facilities have closed to the public and social gatherings have ceased. Every day we receive notice of another spring or summer program cancelation. A majority of our income comes from programming and without it, we find ourselves in a dire situation.

We still have to feed and care for our birds and other animals even if  they aren't out enlightening others about their beauty. The expense of purchasing food, vet care and utilities bills has put a strain on our monetary resources. As a small non-profit, this pandemic could break us. 

Many of you who know me, understand that I don't like to beg for money. Giving, not taking is in my nature. But the animals and the organization could use your help right now. We greatly appreciate any assistance that you can give us.  We THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts
