COVID-19 Medical for MLB Scout Jessie Nava Pirates

We are writing to provide an update on MLB Scout Jessie Nava’s situation.
The response to help Jessie and his family has been overwhelming. Prior to creating the Go Fund Me Page, Major League Baseball and the Pittsburgh Pirates each provided financial support to the Nava family in addition to the health care insurance benefits the Pirates reimbursed for Nava.
Through your generosity and support, we have reached the private Go Fund Me goal of $5,000 to support the Nava family for things including medical costs that are not covered by insurance and expenses the family will incur because of this situation.
Currently, Jessie’s health is improving and he and his family wanted to send their appreciation for the outpouring of support.
As the MLB Scouting Community, fans of the game, and generous anonymous donors continue to reach out to ask how they can support the Nava family, we will keep the Go Fund Me page open through the end of July.
