On March 11, the World Health Organization declared the outbreak of COVID-19 a global pandemic, reaching more than 118 countries and affecting hundreds of thousands of people. Each of us can do our part against the ongoing health emergency caused by the COVID-19 virus.
First off I would like to introduce us, Jack and I AJ are both commercial pilots who are laid off because of COVID19. So in that matter Jack came up with an idea to rent a aircraft from Spring Bank airport in Calgary and load it with medical supplies for ex. Gloves, Gowns, Masks, and hand sanitizer to distribute to the small communities around Alberta who are in need. The small communities and towns have very limited medical supplies specially in elderly homes where transportation companies are not giving up there time so we decided to do it for humanity.
Currently the town of Brooks has confirmed lots of cases and it has declared a state of emergency, so in that case Jack and his father are funding the the first trip which commenced on April 24, 2020. The aircraft was loaded with the supplies and was flown to Brooks.
We commenced a flight on April 27th to the town of Brooks and we have delivered 6,800 Masks and on our way back home we stopped in High River and delivered 5,000 masks.
I have been calling all of the small towns around Alberta to see if they’re in need of Medical supplies and till now I have called Coronation, Hana, Brooks, Settler, Cypress County and FortMackay, more to come. If you know of any towns that require medical supplies, please send me a message.
We are asking for a donation to help us fund this project and help out the small communities around Alberta who are in need.
Thank you generously
