There is a worldwide shortage of ventilators because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and for some countries its going to get a whole lot worse.
A team of Australian engineers & medics have designed and built a safe, functional and high quality ventilator that is low-cost and can be rapidly manufactured in large numbers. We call it the OzVader.
We have started this fundraiser to help OzVader achieve our goal of #Ventilators4all.
Your contribution will go towards manufacturing ventilators for developing nations, who are in desperate need during this COVID19 pandemic. Our mission is to see thousands of OzVader ventilators exported to the countries who need them the most - Indonesia, PNG, Pacific Islands, India etc. And Brisbane to be the OzVader manufacturing hub.
The OzVader is currently undergoing rigorous testing at the Prince Charles Hospital Medical Engineering Research Facility (MERF) in Brisbane. Data collected from these trials will support our submission to the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) for accreditation.
We already know that OzVader complies to all key requirement in the TGA COVID-19 ventilator specification.
Help us go even faster
To build the ventilators sooner, we need to start ordering key items from international suppliers. We need money to do this.
If we pre-order critical parts like valves, air pumps and batteries then we can save over two weeks of lead time. And time is of the essence as COVID-19 will not wait.

This allows us to order parts and manufacture 100 ventilators while we’re waiting on the TGA accreditation. Every cent we raise will go straight into manufacturing the OzVader mechanical ventilator.
