COVID-19 Little Elm Helps

Donation protected
On March 12, I started a Facebook Group page to help seniors and high risk individuals in the local community of Little Elm, TX get basic food and necessities during the COVID-19 outbreak, and subsequent hoarding.  Several members of the community stepped up to help with donations of supplies, offering to deliver basics to those in need, and with financial donations.

We managed to help hundreds of seniors who were in desperate need of basic necessities during the first few weeks of this crisis. What I am finding is that most of the seniors in this community are thankfully being taken care of by their families.

So, my attention has turned to serving those who have no support system, and have a more urgent need to receive aid in order to survive this pandemic. It is those who do not have internet access, no community to lean on and no homes to shelter them that are in urgent need.

We are working to serve the homeless, animal shelters, domestic abuse shelters, food banks, low-income families, frontline workers, and other existing infrastructure in need of support, so they can continue to support our communities as this COVID-19 pandemic continues. We also want to continue to provide aid to individuals in need of help. This is a time when we really need to bond together and do what we can for each other. Whether it's relief for a mother who needs baby wipes to take care of her infant child, or a working parent with 3 teenagers, and no resources to feed them.  As the number of cases increases, and stay-at-home orders become more enforced, there is going to be an increasing need to get supplies to people.

We need to work together to support and help the frontline workers who are delivering our goods, those who are keeping the grocery stores stocked for us, the medical workers, the garbage and postal delivery folks and so many others who are out there working to keep the world moving. If we can reduce their loads even a little bit, then we all win!

Here are a few pics from the first couple of weeks, helping seniors. I hope to be able to add many more images to show you how we are helping those in need. With your help, we can make it happen.

Please consider a financial contribution to help those who most need it in during this unprecedented global pandemic.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
