Help Your El Corazon / Funhouse Staff During the COVID-19 Outbreak
The COVID-19 outbreak in Seattle has been devastating for Seattle's small businesses and the workers who depend on them for their income.
Since 2005 El Corazon (and later the Funhouse) has provided a welcoming, lively place for killer concerts, memorable events and delicious drinks for music lovers of all ages and interests. Unfortunately, due to guidance from state public health agencies and mandates from our state leadership, El Corazon and The Funhouse have been forced to close temporarily until this unprecedented public health crisis has passed.
In the many years that we have been open, El Corazon and The Funhouse have attracted an incredible crowd of people, built a fun, supportive community, and provided a safe space for everyone - and that is all due to its incredible staff.
Mandated business closures due to the COVID-19 crisis hit workers like this the hardest. I started this venue because I believed in the dream of a small group of incredibly passionate and talented people working together to make sure tons of music lovers of all ages could be entertained and have a good time. The community embraced this space in a way that I never expected - and I know that we wouldn't be anywhere near as successful without our incredible staff making it the amazing place that it is.
For our 15th Anniversary this year, I'm asking you to send a few dollars to our El Corazon / Funhouse staff to help them get through this difficult time. If you're having a drink at home and wishing you could be rocking out at our venues and/or bars watching & listening to some kick ass concerts, tip your bartender, security person, sound engineer and/or Janitor to let them know you're thinking of them and you're grateful for what they do.
All funds raised will be split among El Corazon/Funhouse staff.
