The COVID-19 virus is affecting so many people across the globe, and our little slice of heaven is also being hit to the point that restaurants, businesses, schools, etc., are being impacted physically and financially. People are losing their jobs, they are being displaced, and there's no relief in site. Even my own business has taken a huge hit financially, and my staff of pet sitters are currently not caring for animals do to travel cancellations. But that is not what this GoFundMe is about...
This GoFundMe is about raising funds for the pets of those individuals who have lost their jobs because of COVID-19. The restaurant works, gardeners, bar workers, teachers, hospital workers, etc., who are unable to afford to buy their own pets' food during this time of great need. These are the people who love their pets so much that they are willing to forgo buying pet food to buy people food, and then share their own needed nutrition with their beloved pets. These are the people who are willing to sacrifice their needs for the pets they love and who are family.
We've all seen the pets at the parks, restaurants, and sporting events. These pets are part of our community too, and I for one want to do everything in my power to ensure not only the pets are cared for, but our neighbors are as well. We are a loving and giving community. We rush to help our neighbors during natural and man made disasters, so this is our opportunity to help those same neighbors during this awful pandemic.
Donate today to my GoFundMe and 100% of the funds will be used to help those pet owners in need with purchasing pet food for their beloved pets. As funds are accumulated, pet owners will contact me using this website to request financial assistance with food. Each request will receive a $40 gift card to one of our local pet supply small businesses to purchase pet supplies. As you can see, this is an excellent opportunity to help our local businesses as well!
Even when the crisis is over, any leftover funds will be used to directly support pet causes in the area.
Please contribute today, and help us help those pets and neighbors who are in dire need. Your support and consideration are sincerely appreciated!
