As COVID-19 has caused the entire planet to shut-down, many countries have declared a complete lockdown including India. Inadvertently causing many of our neighbors and community members struggling just to survive and meet their basic needs. In Hyderabad, India, though the initial lockdown was announced for three weeks, it has been recently extended to May 7th 2020 which has created a new set of problems even for those that were prepared for a short-term. So, a group of friends and brothers in faith that attended school together in Hyderabad have geared up to give back to the community and taken a responsibility during the crisis to provide the much needed support. The original plan was to feed 100 local random needy families (anyone and everyone) and have consistently done so since the start of the lockdown (March 21st) and have supported over 371 needy people themselves (i.e., raising funds personally). Now we are attempting to do a fundraiser to help continue this project during and beyond Ramadan, God Willing. The entire collected amount, i.e., 100% of what is raised, will go towards feeding the poor and we will cover any processing and handling as well. By the mercy of Almighty God, we, the organizers, are all well-settled and this is not the source of income for the team or any individual associated with this project.
