The PAYNE ARCADE BUSINESS ASSOCIATION (PABA) is asking your support for its COVID-19 PAYNE ARCADE FUNDRAISER by making a donation and spreading the word.
The funds will be used to benefit employees of local Payne-Arcade businesses who have lost their jobs, been laid-off or are working reduced hours due to the COVID-19 shut-downs.
We are a small group of business owners and neighborhood development leaders whose aim is to lift up our community. Our Payne Area ReBOOT Initiative is focused on elevating the vitality of the business district in the Payne Area, the vibrancy of the emerging, community-centered arts and entertainment scene, and the prosperity of the workers and residents in the neighborhood. The COVID-19 pandemic has heightened the needs our initiative is seeking to address, as it poses unprecedented challenges to all the businesses, workers and residents in our community. Reflecting our values of “neighbors helping neighbors,” we would like to raise $5000.00 by June 15th to support local workers and their families.
This GOFUNDME campaign is one component of a larger set of near-term events and initiatives to give back to our community during this crisis. We will continue to update you about upcoming and related efforts. Right now, we are extending a personal invitation to you to actively participate in our fundraising campaign, to help cover miscellaneous expenses of staff members laid off in our local Payne Arcade business community, because of COVID-19. With your contribution, we will be able to help families fill gaps and perpetuate our everyday efforts of building a thriving, sustainable community of businesses.
