Covid19 and the homeless

Covid19 has had a major impact on service delivery in Victoria. The most vulnerable members of our society are now at a further disadvantage because of the necessary but difficult measures that have been taken to try and reduce the spread of the pandemic. Our Place needs donations now more than ever to help. If you are experiencing financial hardship due to Covid then this message is not for you. But if you can spare a small donation to help the homeless population of Victoria then join me in trying to offer some help. These people are our neighbours and for some family members, acquaintances and friends.

Our place is taking extraordinary measures during this crisis and I am grateful and proud to have an organization like this in our community.

More information about Our Place Society: For over 50 years, Our Place has been a unique inner-city community centre serving Greater Victoria's most vulnerable, the working poor, impoverished elderly, mentally and physically challenged, addicted and the homeless. Our Place provides over 1,000 meals per day, plus 1,200j snacks, hot showers, education, job skills, health care, addiction recovery services, donated clothing, counseling and outreach services, plus 45 transitional housing units and over 100 shelter spaces.
