Zimbabwe Covid-19 Citizens Healthcare Support Fund

Donation protected

The Covid-19 Global Pandemic has struck Zimbabwe. The healthcare situation in Zimbabwe has been dire since 2019 and this pandemic is adding unprecedented strain on an already ailing system.

This fundraiser will be to support the well-being of Frontline Healthcare professionals including doctors, nurses and allied workers. We believe they need Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).  We want their food needs while at work taken care of so they don't have to leave the hospitals which could increase chances of transmission.  Funds permitting we will also work with authorities to support extended stay with minimal commute to their homes so we reduce the risk of transmission. This would also involve supporting the families with food if need be.

Some of the initiatives will depend on how much resources we raise.

WHO AM I

My name is Freeman Chari and I am a resident of United States. I currently chair the board of the newly formed Citizens Initiative which is a culmination of the work we did last year and this year on Cyclone Idai and Citizwean Clinics .

All the money raised here will be administered by the Citizens Initiative  which will transparently account for it the same way we have accounted for all funds we raised before we formalized.
