Covid Relief For David Gerow

I was living and performing in Guatemala when covid hit, and I am still in Guatemala. 100% of my gigs were lost, and as a result, I haven't worked in over 6 months. I was recently evicted for non-payment of rent from the house where I was renting a room, and am currently staying in a small room with some friends who generously offered to put me up for as long as they can, making clear the fact that it couldn't be long. I owe back rent to my former landlord, and have no money to pay rent at any other place. Once I'm asked to leave the room where I currently am staying, I have absolutely no other options.

Since performing live is not an option, I have to find work on the internet doing livestreaming and making videos, both of which would employ a "virtual tip jar" by means of paypal, venmo, etc... In order to do that I need a lap top computer that has a web cam, microphone and audio recording software (included free on most Macs [Garage Band]). The lap top, the money I need for back rent as well as enough to pay a couple months ahead while I get my new endeavor off the ground, and something in the way of food for me and my dog (Champ) as quickly as possible is what I'm hoping to achieve.

It is uncomfortable to ask for help in this way, but I don't know what else to do. If I reach this goal, I will be able to focus on recreating a career for myself at a time when the entire industry I have spent 40+ years of my life working in has been literally eliminated. Words cannot express my gratitude to anyone who donates anything, and it all will help.
