Covid has buried us in debt. We are hurting!

On November 11 our lives changed and it seems to just get worse every day. Chris tested positive for Covid and two days later I tested positive. Chris has been out of work since that day.  He tried to go back, but two days later ended up back in the hospital for another week. We thought we would be OK financially with short term disability. Then we started battling the third party company, trying to get the doctor to send in the right documentation, wondering when and if we will eventually get a check and knowing it won’t even be enough for medication at this point... much less the growing amount of bills. Medical bills alone are over $3000 and grow every time the mail runs. 

I don’t like asking for help and it feels like it is eating at my soul to do this. I was discussing with someone how much stress we are under right now and they suggested I start a go fund me. I was against it and just thought this all will pass. Unfortunately we are now at a point of bills not getting paid and things such as the phone, electric, car insurance, etc. not getting paid and things getting cut off and disconnected. 

We can live without phones and such, but we cannot live without a car, heat, medication. Yes it  bothers me immensely to start this page and ask for help, but we are desperate and the stress is constantly keeping us on edge. Please do not put yourself in a bind, and if you have already given, please do not give again. But if you can help us out, I will try to make it up to you in the future when we are back on our feet (which will hopefully be very soon). All money will go strictly to medication, basic bills and medical bills. I swear nothing with be used frivolously. We truly thank you no matter the amount you can give.
