COVID food support for underprivileged in Mumbai

While the world is under major stress from COVID-19, there are some parts of the world that are faced with the challenge to make ends meet on essential items such as food and water. 

Feeding From Far  was initiated by a couple friends in Mumbai a month ago to provide basic food to the underprivileged living in Govandi, one of the major slums in Mumbai, India. The area has over 1 million people living off hourly wages. Due to COVID-19, they have been out of jobs since March 25 and have lost the income to support day to day living. Stocking up on food is a luxury that they can't afford. 

For SGD 1/ CAD 1 / 0.65 EURO you can feed one person for a day. The organization has currently expanded to feeding 7,000 people per day. I would like to ask your help in supporting the volunteers to provide one more day of food to the community, or as many people as we can reach out to. 

I will make a contribution at the end of the campaign on May 15 as this money is time sensitive to the community. In addition, as a challenge, I will be biking around the island of Singapore on Saturday, May 9th. Welcome to join the challenge, whichever part of the world you are in and please do share your experience as well!
