For my senior project I plan on creating baskets to pass out to the homeless so they can have the basic necessities for everyday life but also some items they are in need of during the pandemic. I would like this campaign to end before Christmas so I can get started on the baskets and distribute the baskets in time for the winter season.
In my years of volunteering with my family I have seen how hard it is to be in the homeless community. Like struggling to find basic necessities and lack of proper resources. I have seen that even families who are very well-off are struggling to find proper items for sanitation and basic needs in this pandemic. So I can only imagine how the homeless community is suffering.
Each basket will cost 16$ and will include: T-shirts, socks, water, protein bars, masks, and sanitizer. 100% of the money raised will go towards these baskets.
Any donation is appreciated. Anyone that donates can include a note to put into one of the baskets to lift the spirits of the recipient.
