COVID 19 Maui Response Team

We are the Maui COVID 19 Response Team. Members from the core of the Maui Makers 501c3 group has been growing their ranks with volunteers and 3-D printing face shields for a week or more. We have boxes of them completed. We are also distributing our first large batch of face shields to Maui EMTs. Our next production orders are going to the Hospital and the County of Maui (fire/police/etc) We are 3-D printing face mask frames that hold a filter medium in place on the face and have printed about 100 so far. These are free to the general public. Our team has printed a few door openers/button pushers. That is a single item. We are printing cartridges for 3M Respirator masks like those used for spray painting. The high-efficiency filter material has been ordered and we have a stamping/cutting machine that will be delivered to Maui Makers Wednesday, April 8. We have been working on an intubation box design and innovation. One of our supporting business partners has a prototype under construction. We are in standby to assist with laser cutting and assembly if needed We are building a prototype ventilator to be delivered to the hospital for testing. When the parts arrive, we will be building 25 powered air-purifying respirators. These are used to supply clean forced air into full-face respirator masks which makes breathing a lot easier for first responders and medical personnel. So, our Maui Makers group/Maui COVID 19 Response Team volunteers are hard at work creating the items needed by our hospital and medical workers during this pandemic.
