Covering Carols Cancer Journey

It’s with a heavy and broken heart that I even have to group this message together and share this news with you all. It pains me for each and every person reading this that has been a part of our moms life, if I could hug each and every one of you I would, and I would thank you for the part of her life each of you have shared with her. She is a person that values her relationships with others and holds them in her heart with deep appreciation and love. 

In the past couple weeks we have come upon the devastating news that our mom and a bright light to so many of you, has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer that  has spread to her liver and is quickly metastasizing. She went into the doctor with some pains and a few short weeks later this is the news that has been brought to us. At this point doctors have said that all that can be done is measures to give her more time and keep her comfortable.

This news came as a shock to us and is something none of us saw coming. Her needs are great as she is without insurance, and is currently in Utah and caring for her Dad with all of us in different states. On top of that, as most of you may know, we went through this not too long ago with our dad. He unfortunately lost his battle to cancer in August of 2010, so there is not alternative income to pick up the slack. 

 
Her expenses will include: treatment, measures to keep her comfortable, and bills and expenses of her own to cover as she is unable to work obviously. Our biggest concern as her daughters is to make this time for her as comfortable and stress free as possible and to help her enjoy what time she has left. We are beyond appreciative for your financial, thoughtful, and prayerful support and ANY of the three that you can provide means the world to us. We love all of you and thank you for leaving a mark on our mamas heart no matter how big or small. We will continue with updates as they arise in this forum so be sure to subscribe if you would like to be alerted. Please feel free to share as well, as we would like to lift her up and build her army as big and wide as possible. Much love to all of you.
