Please Help Cover Sydney's Surgery Bills

Hello, my name is Marquis. I am posting to raise money for my 11-year-old Aussie/blue heeler Sydney's upcoming surgery. I've never been one to ask for help, but this is something I can not do on my own, and I love Sydney too much not to exhaust all options. I adopted Sydney from ARF in 2011. She has been my best friend throughout my adult life. She came to me at one of the worst times in my life; my older brother and best friend were killed in a car wreck. I was only 18. It pains me that I can not be there financially for Syndey this time but thankful for a place like gofundme where I can ask for help. The funds raised will go directly to Sydney and her vet bills.

About two years ago, Sydney began growing a mass on her side. Once it got around tennis ball size, I started to worry and took her to the vet to get it tested. The Vet said it was benign, that she was healthy, and that there was no real danger, so it did not need to be removed. I decided not to get the surgery then. Now the mass is more than twice that size, partially open and excreting fluids and blood; it is infected and needs to be removed. Our surgery is scheduled for September 15th. I got her blood tested two weeks ago. The results said she is still just as healthy. Removing this mass will, without a doubt, improve the quality of life she has left. I have not been able to get Sydney to a park in over a year; she's got a lot of life left. I believe our best years are yet to come.
