The issue of suicide is incredibly complex. But we know this: improving overall mental health and helping men establish better social connections can reduce the risk of suicide.
Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in men in the UK. Globally, more than 1.3 million men are diagnosed with prostate cancer each year.
Across the country, there are more than 333,500 men living with and beyond the disease. Many are dealing with serious side effects from treatment.
Testicular Cancer strikes young. It's the most common cancer in young UK men.
Our fathers, partners, brothers and friends are facing a health crisis, yet it’s rarely talked about. Men are dying too young. We can’t afford to stay silent.
Movember is all about creating awareness for male related illnesses, and to let everyone know it's okay to talk! IT'S OKAY TO NOT BE OKAY!
Coventry Mercia Lions have decided they want to help to create this awareness, some of our Lions will be growing their moustaches throughout the month of November to raise funds for The Movember Foundation. The Movember Foundation are the leading charity changing the face of men's health. They know what works for men - and what doesn't.
Their aim: By 2030, to reduce the number of men dying prematurely by 25%.
