Angels for Joey & Jonny

Donation protected
Joey and Jonny lost both their parents this summer. They need as much security as possible for their road ahead. Please help us raise this "Life Security Fund" for these two young brothers.

Courtney Sayliss, their mom, lost her fight to cancer one month after Joe Parum, their father, died suddenly from a massive heart attack. They leave behind their two beautiful boys, Joey, 7 and Jonny, 3.

The boys need us now more than we could have ever imagined. Sharron, their maternal grandmother, will take care of these boys with the help of family & Courtney's closest friends and we need your help!

No family should suffer these losses, no children should face the loss of both parents like this. It is beyond unfair and completely devastating.

Our community and everyone who knew and loved Courtney & Joe is coming together to make sure these boys have all that they need.

We are raising money to cover the costs that come with tragedy; a summer camp and therapy for the boys; necessities and a trust fund that will carry them through these incredibly hard years ahead.

We are left with massive holes in our hearts and lives.

Please donate and share all that you can. These boys have gone through too much already, we need to lighten their burden and provide security for them in a world that has gone wrong. Let's do everything we can to make sure they make it through this!

A little bit about their story:

Courtney and Joe both grew up in the east end of Toronto and their amazing boys are doing the same.

Joe was a kind-hearted and genuine guy, always helping his friends and family. Always there for his sons. Joe could make you smile even if you were feeling down...and he gave the best hugs. He's been a rock through Courtney's health struggles and was a constant support for the boys in everything they do. Joey and Jonny are a testament to Joe's great spirit.

Courtney is one of my favourite people in the world, she was my best friend, her strength, wit and loyalty are inspiring and I'm lucky to know her. Her infectious and cheeky side smile, and hold-no-bars honesty are one of a kind. Courtney is authentic and understanding, always embodying her One Love vibes. Courtney was a fighter. She never gave up. She was an amazing mother, a generous friend and a truly special human.

We all have a story about how these two remarkable people have made our lives better... and it usually involves a lot of laughing, the boardwalk or a full moon party.

In 2014, Courtney was diagnosed with complicated breast cancer and fought hard to get through it. Focussing on her love for her boys and her passion for healing & supported by her mother Sharron, she won that battle. On June 24th, Courtney lost her fight and left us.

Joey and Jonny are beautiful, strong boys--they got all their parent's best qualities. They are both named after two amazing men...that are probably sharing a smile above as they look down on the people they loved best. These two boys will carry on the legacy and love that we are all mourning and honouring.
We love you all...and we got you!!
