Courtney’s medical travel fund

On May 13th/20, this beautiful person became my Daughter-in-Law to be. We are all excited to have a kind, loving, and caring soul added to our family.
Before the celebrations could begin, on May 20th/20, Courtney Harmer experienced blurred vision and immediately went to the optometrist, thinking it was time for glasses.
Immediately after the examination, the optometrist sent her to a specialist, letting her know there was something foreign behind her eye and needed further investigation. After the specialist exam, testing and anxiety, our soon to be daughter-in-law was diagnosed with Choroidal Melanoma. Cancer
Choroidal Melanoma is a rare form of cancer, affecting a very small percentage of the population. If not detected and responded to immediately, it can spread rapidly and limited treatment can be performed.
We are blessed this was found early enough and she will begin radiation in Edmonton. Although we are lucky to be Canadians, there are still some expenses that are not covered and we are asking for everyone’s help.
Please help Courtney with any donation possible to cover travel from Winnipeg to Edmonton, hotel accommodations and food expenses. They will also be taking time-off of work, that has limited coverage, making bills that we all have, pile up and unpaid.
We need your help. Our family cannot thank you enough for giving this young woman your support
Courtney’s doctor in Edmonton is Dr Ezekiel Weis, University of Alberta and will be an outpatient at the Royal Alexandria Hospital.
Thank You again for your Generosity.
