Courtney Treatment Expenses

Donation protected
Courtney Anderson is a beloved daughter, sister, grandchild, & friend. Those who know Courtney know that she is a caring, zany, & passionate person. She is a person who wants to live life to its fullest & give back to the world. Those who know Courtney also know her struggles with mental illness; that, though she who often wears a smile in public, she also bears deep hurt within that she has striven to not burden others with.

Due to multiple traumas in her life, Courtney lives with severe depression, anxiety, & PTSD on a daily basis. The intensity of these diagnoses has progressively gotten worse over the years, and she has not been able to hold a job consistently (even though many of the jobs she has landed have been good fits for her). Court has tried what seems like every form of treatment out there: "pulling herself up by her bootstraps," an innumerable amount of different medicines, forms of therapy & counseling,  spiritual revival & prayer, etc. While these different forms may have helped for a time, Courtney is in need of residential treatment to focus on processing her past hurts & finding medication/treatment that will bring her back to daily functioning & give her the tools & confidence to get back on her feet.

In a great step of courage & faith, Courtney will be heading to Timberline Knolls this Friday (Oct 20), a residential treatment facility in Chicago (see the website here). The average stay at Timberline Knolls is 60 days.

Mental illness, unfortunately, is often surrounded by stigma, & many find they don't know how to help. Like physical trauma, the brain also needs time & treatment to heal properly, or there are more problems down the road. Courtney has been fighting for years, & the time has come where we, her loving community, can give her tangible support in her healing journey by walking alongside her in his residential treatment.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

1) FINANCIALLY
Your financial support is needed for:
*Courtney to reach her insurance deductible so her treatment is covered
*covering at least 2 months of bills & rent
*anything extra to go toward other medical bills that have piled up & daily living expenses, as Courtney currently does not have a job due to her illness.

2) COMMUNITY
Courtney has been encouraged to stay in touch with her community, but she will not have her phone & will have limited access to a computer. The best ways to connect with her will be:
*Visit her! Visiting hours are 2-5pm Saturdays & Sundays (call & let Timberline know when you'll be visiting)
*Write her letters:
Attn: Courtney S. Anderson
Timberline Knolls
40 Timberline Dr.
Lemont, IL 60439
*Pray for her: her ability to engage in the treatment process, that God would provide for her in all ways, healing (physically, emotionally, spirituall, mentally), faith.
*Engage with her upon return: ask her how everything went and how you can continue to walk alongside her.

Your help is needed: generous giving & connection are encouraged!
Let's help Courtney get back on her feet by flooding her with love & support <3
