Courtney Beats the C Word

So many memories are created when two families become friends. In just a few short years we have shared nights on the back porch, Ranger rides through corn fields, lots of sleepovers for the kiddos, first days of school, and unforgettable trips with Blaine and Courtney Rozner. These moments shape our future and it is so easy to take them all for granted when everything is going perfectly.

There are no words to describe the emotions you feel when your best friend has been diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma at the age of 30. As moms our worst fear is something happening to us or our children. So to think that breast cancer could keep Courtney from growing old with her husband, Blaine or watching her children, Cohen and River grow up is difficult to process and unacceptable. 

However, with official results and a plan in place, Courtney started chemotherapy on December 2nd.  She is 5 chemo sessions down, rocking’ a new G.I. Jane hairdo, has family and friends by her side, and a faith stronger than any of our fears. She is convinced that the outpouring of  prayers, love, support and cuddles will counteract all the sterile needles, pain, intimidating machines and cold waiting rooms that she has conquered so far and will see in her future.

As you can imagine the bills are already piling up and the travel expenses to go to weekly treatments are adding up quickly. This is not a burden we want Blaine and Courtney to face alone during this difficult time, so if you are able to donate anything will help as Courtney focuses on beating the “C” word!  If you are unable to make a monetary donation, Courtney has asked for your prayers for healing and positive vibes for not only her but her husband, children, family, and her amazing medical team at MD Anderson.
