Support for Cory Nilsson and Family

Our dear friend was in a terrible accident yesterday.

Here is the information we received from his sweet wife:
******************************************************
Good morning family, friends and loved ones. My sweetheart Cory Nilsson was in a terrible accident last night. He was bicycling in Hobblecreek canyon when a storm hit and a large pine tree fell from the mountain and struck him. He was critically injured and had 7 hours of surgery to try and repair his lungs & abdomen. He received over 150 units of blood products and his trauma team of doctors and nurses have been remarkable and unwavering. Cory continues to be very unstable in the critical care unit. He is alive but his body is severely damaged and many injuries we don't even know about such as spine trauma or head trauma. He is my warrior, my best friend and the most Christlike person I know. We continue to pray for him and thank you all for your love and prayers and faith on his behalf. We will update as we can.
******************************************************
He is clinging to life at present, and we are hoping that by setting up this Gofundme account, that we can raise some money that will help them to rehabilitate their family after this tragedy, regardless of the outcome. This family has sacrificed so much for others over the years, and been so supportive to so many in their sphere of influence.

Most recently, the were able to support their son who served as a missionary in Africa, where he has done so much good.  We just hope that we all can be there for this great family who have done so much for everyone else.

They do have insurance, but we all know that insurance falls short of paying for everything--especially the rehab it will take for Cory after he is out of the hospital.  As the breadwinner of the family, his inability to work for a while will also be a burden.  We are hoping to lift a little of this burden, and recognize that $10,000.00 may not be enough.  However, it is a start.

If you can't help us financially, prayers on Cory's behalf and the behalf of his loving family, are also very, very welcome.

Also, we are asking that everyone who sees this post please take a moment to share a kindness, a kind word, or serve someone in your immediate vicinty.  Cory is one of the kindest and most "ready to help" individuals.  He would appreciate knowing that his example has brought about such goodness in the world.

Thank you in advance for your help.
