Following a tragedy at the home of Maria and Terry Latham, we are respectfully asking for donations for a fence to enclose their 8 acre property which serves as the headquarters of Country Roads Animal Rescue Society (CRARS).
Porter was one of Terry and Maria's many CRARS foster fails; a goofy, loving pit bull/great dane mix with a larger than life personality to match his equally large size. Porter along with three of their other dogs escaped their property to explore, and tragically Porter was shot and killed. ">For more information regarding Porter's death, please click here.
Terry has been repairing and installing new fencing as time and finances allow, but much of the property fence line still remains insufficient and unsafe for their pack of 8 dogs who live on the property. Terry and Maria would also like to expand CRARS, the reason the property was purchased in the first place, to house dogs they save from the euthanasia lists of Oklahoma shelters everyday. Mama dogs with nursing babies are frequently among the euthanasia list dogs. Euthanasia list dogs often have only hours to find a foster home, since CRARS is strictly foster based, having an area where dogs can be kept safely until a foster home can be found will allow CRARS to save countless more lives. This will simply not be possible until the property is properly fenced.
The CRARS community is thankful for any contribution you can make, whether monetary or healing thoughts for the Latham family.
All donations will be tax deductible. CRARS Tax ID: 47-3854005
