Cote Family Medical Assistance

On December 15, 2017 Holly Cote was driving south on I-95 just outside of Bangor.  A vehicle in front of her did not clear the snow and ice off the roof and it flew off towards Holly's car.  She swerved to miss the ice and just when she had regained control of the car a semi truck hit her from behind.  Her car was utterly destroyed and the airbags did not deploy during the crash.  As a result, Holly suffered significant injuries to her neck and spine.  Holly has had two surgeries to her neck and spine over the past week.  She has regained most of her motor functions above the waist, but her legs are still struggling to recover functionality.  The doctors are hopeful that she will regain feeling and movement in her legs, but it will be a long road towards recovery. 

The Cotes are planning on her being relocated to a rehab facility in Boston once she is stabilized in Bangor.  This facility in Boston is her best chance towards a full and speedy recovery.  With this relocation the Cotes will be looking at 8 weeks of on-site rehab.  This will mean both Holly and her husband will be spending most of their time living in Boston away from their 7 year old son.  Of course, they will have all the associated costs of living so far away from home while both being unable to work.  

Holly and her family have been significantly affected by this accident both emotionally and financially.  Her family and friends are looking for assistance to aid in her recovery.   Anything that can be brought forth will be tremendously appreciated.
