Peru Orphanage Volunteer Work

Hi!

My name is Kayla, and I have just recently graduated high school. As I begin the exciting journey as a college student, I have started to think about how I can impact the world. I have always had a strong desire to work with impoverished children both in the US and in developing countries. After being inspired by my sister Angelina's recent humanitarian trips to Kenya and Guatemala I felt compelled to start organizing a trip as well.

Angelina and I have always had a strong interest in Peruvian culture. After extensive research I have learned about an opportunity to volunteer in Cusco, Peru at an orphanage through the organization Volunteerhq. Due to Peru's high incidence of poverty and illness, many orphanages lack the staffing and resources that the children need and deserve. By volunteering for this organization, we will have the opportunity to impact their lives by providing basic care, assistance with education, and one-on-one attention.

These donations will cover the cost of our flights, program fees, and a small donation to the orphanage. If you are unable to donate, we still very much appreciate any positive thoughts as we embark on this life changing journey. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to impact the world:)
