Costs For Gender Affirming Surgery

Hi, my name is River and I have some amazing news to share! I am scheduled to have a life changing surgery that will help me become who I really am. I am having a Gender Affirming Surgery. I’ve been waiting a long time to do this. The issue is, how long I will be out of work, and the fact that I will not be getting paid. So, I am raising funds for this incredible surgery. The funds will be used towards medical supplies, deductible/copay, and for some of my expenses(ex: rent money, food, utilities, dog food) while I am out on unpaid leave for 2 weeks. I will not be able to cook, clean, or tend to my dogs during this time. I am a single trans man living alone with two dogs, so this is going to be a challenging time. My hope is to get enough money to offset the costs of me being off work. I do not want to rush back and pretend I’m okay because I am need of funds to pay for living.
