<div>Hoy nos dirigimos a ustedes con el corazón en la mano, para pedir su apoyo en un momento extremadamente difícil. Alex, un joven de 16 años lleno de vida y pasión por el rugby, lleva jugando en el Club de Rugby Denia desde los 8 años. Siempre ha sido un luchador dentro y fuera del campo, pero ahora enfrenta la batalla más dura de su vida.

<div>El pasado viernes 25 de octubre, Alex sufrió un terrible accidente de moto. A pesar de llevar casco y conducir con cuidado, las consecuencias fueron devastadoras: graves lesiones cerebrales y una fractura en el tobillo. Desde entonces, Alex se encuentra en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos del hospital de Denia, en lo que los médicos llaman un semi-coma. Aunque puede sentir la presencia de quienes lo rodean, su cerebro no está comunicándose completamente con su cuerpo. No puede hablar ni mover sus brazos o piernas.

<div>Su madre, Priscilla, ha dejado todo para estar a su lado día y noche, cerrando incluso su pequeño negocio para dedicarle todo su tiempo y amor. Ella trabaja incansablemente con él cada día, intentando que sus manos respondan al contacto, buscando cualquier señal que le permita saber que Alex sigue luchando.

<div>Sabemos que Alex es fuerte, pero también sabemos que el camino hacia su recuperación será largo y doloroso. Aunque el hospital le ofrece cuidados esenciales, Alex necesita logopeda y una rehabilitación neurológica especializada para tener la mejor oportunidad de recuperar sus funciones motoras y cognitivas.

<div>Today, we reach out to you with our hearts in our hands, asking for your support during an extremely difficult time. Alex, a 16-year-old full of life and passion for rugby, has been playing at the Denia Rugby Club since he was 8 years old. He has always been a fighter, both on and off the field, but now he faces the toughest battle of his life.

<div>Last Friday, October 25th, Alex suffered a terrible motorcycle accident. Despite wearing a helmet and driving carefully, the consequences were devastating: severe brain injuries and a fractured ankle. Since then, Alex has been in the Intensive Care Unit at Denia Hospital, in what doctors call a semi-coma. Although he can feel the presence of those around him, his brain is not fully communicating with his body. He cannot speak or move his arms or legs.

<div>His mother, Priscilla, has left everything to be by his side day and night, even closing her small business to dedicate all her time and love to him. She works tirelessly with him every day, trying to get his hands to respond to touch, looking for any sign that shows Alex is still fighting.

<div>We know Alex is strong, but we also know that the road to recovery will be long and painful. While the hospital provides essential care, Alex needs a speech therapist and specialized neurological rehabilitation to have the best chance of regaining his motor and cognitive functions.
</div>
