So much of what we do in life is to create teams where each individual pitches in to be better together. If you are as lucky as I have been, you were able to make that team your family. We spend 12+ hours a day, always trying to bring people together in our restaurants by looking for ways to remind people that food is what makes us happy, that food joins us all under one roof to tell great stories, always putting our community and clients first.

Today, like all of my colleagues in the field, I find myself without options to keep this family together. With a broken heart, my amazing restaurant family will now ride this wave with substandard unemployment wages and no clear path to feed their families and make ends meet - a tsunami wave with no shelter in sight.
