We are Joanne Harvell & Julie Horne. We are sisters, joining our brother, Terry Hull, and his ministry, Joshua One Ministries, in Costa Rica next month. During this weeklong trip, we will:
~ Work with 4 different churches in Atenas, Turrialba, Territorio Chirripo, & Leon XIII and hold worship services at 3 of them.
~ Work at 4 health clinics, providing free health care to low-income women & children in poor, rural villages in Balsa de Atenas, Turrialba & Territorio Chirripo.
~ Work on church construction projects to help impoverished churches.
~ Play games, tell Bible stories & share the gospel with hundreds of Costa Rican children.
~ Hold a day-long class called Discipleship University, which provides much-needed training to 100+ church leaders.
~ Achieve our daily goal to exchange love & encouragement with our fellow Christians of other countries. Romans 1:10-12 - (10) One of the things I always pray for is the opportunity, God willing, to come at last to see you. (11) For I long to visit you so I can bring you some spiritual gift that will help you grow strong in the Lord. (12 ) When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours.
Our brother said this is the most ambitious mission trip they have ever attempted - your support is genuinely appreciated by us all!! We leave on January 20th, so we need your donations NOW! Any amount will make a difference!
Finally, please lift us in prayer. We ask that you pray for a safe & successful trip. We ask that we be a blessing to all those we encounter & that God will use us as He sees fit. Isaiah 6:8 - Then I heard the Lord asking, "Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?" I said, "Here I am. Send me."
