Coshocton County Racial Justice Arts Contest

Tax deductible
Coshoctonians for Peace and Equality, in partnership with the Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum and the Equal Justice Initiative, has just launched Racial Justice Essay and Arts Contests for 9-12th graders in Coshocton County. Both of these contests offer Coshocton County students the opportunity to creatively explore a local or national historical event of racial injustice and to reflect on its legacy today (more information here ).

The Equal Justice Initiative will generously provide at least $5,000 in cash prizes to be divided among Essay Contest winners. We need your help raising money for the winners of the Arts Contest! Help us support young people in this area who are using their talents to explore how history has shaped us and what it might look like to live in a more just and equitable world. No donation is too small, and all donations (which will be collected and awarded by the Friends of the Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum) are tax-deductible.

Submissions to the Arts Contest will be displayed at the Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum's local student art show, "A Playground of Talent," this spring (opening date: March 20). We invite you to visit the show. We'd also be grateful if you could help us spread the news about the Essay and Arts Contests and this fundraiser. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
