Very few African American males complete the long and daunting journey to enter and advance in the legal profession. In fact, based on the 2010 census, out of the estimated 800,000 lawyers in America only 2% are African American males.
During the Spring semester of the 2[phone redacted] academic year, I applied and gained acceptance into Cornell University's Pre Law Program in New York City. This rigorous 6-week program is designed for college Sophomores who wish to gain an accurate, comprehensive understanding of America's legal system, and ends with an internship in one of New York City's preeminent law firms. Acceptance into this program is an honor and a privilege.
Unfortunately, tuition at an Ivy League institution is expensive. I am relying on your generosity to help me to raise $5,790, which will cover the cost of tuition for this program. I am asking for any donations possible. Whether it be $5 or $100, any and every donation is greatly appreciated. If you are unable to donate, your prayers and positive thoughts are greatly appreciated as well. Thank you for your interest in helping me study at Cornell.
