On march 23rd 2018 Corey Turner sustained internal injuries from a Professional MMA bout held in Cabazon, CA.
Corey spent 3 days in the hospital in California before being released and told he could recover at home.
A few short days later he was re-admitted into a hospital in his home town of Las Vegas,NV with severe pain and swelling in his abdomen. Corey was release after a few days and sent home again.
During the next few days Corey’s kidneys began to fail, his liver started to have issues and his stomach filled with fluid forcing him back into the hospital and admitted into ICU.
Corey is being released to finish healing at home under the care of his New bride Samantha Johns. He is expected to be on bed rest for months.
Sam has been at his side through every moment of this battle and is going to be his full time nurse as well as sole care taker of their 3 month old baby and 2 young girls.
As expected financial strain is starting to kick in and the need for community support is higher than ever.
Any amount of finical support would be greatly appreciated during this time.
Prayers, a kind work of support, monetary gifts and any form of help is needed.
Through all the struggle, pain and suffering this couple has endured some amazing things have also taken place, including a vow exchange in the ICU on April 7th sealing their bond legally as husband and wife.
