Corey & Mindy Grant Cancer Fund

Early in 2017 Corey was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a cancer with no cure. This fight has been more involved than Corey and Mindy could have ever imagined. 

In addition to the hardship of having to live away from their kids for several weeks last fall in an apartment near the cancer treament center in Seattle, a lot of added expenses - on top of regular househould expenses - have made things difficult for Corey and Mindy.  

Now, Corey has been in the ICU for several days and we actually didn't think he'd make it through the night last Thursday night.  He's in a medically induced coma and on life support, as machines are breathing 100% for him. 

He has some sort of lung infection that the doctors aren't sure how to treat because they don't know what it is and why it happened.  It's been narrowed down to a possible fungal infection (which could still take considerable time to determine) or chemo toxicity.  We're expecting some test results soon, which will enable them to treat it specifically.

Mindy's amazing church family is handling meals for the next couple of weeks, but there are a lot of additional expenses that they didn't expect to have, and Corey is unable to work right now. 

So many of their friends and family in Washington have stepped up to help with taking the kids to practice and church, as well as providing nightly dinners. We are so grateful for all the love and support that's been offered. 

But many friends and family outside of Washington are too far away to offer practical help, so I decided to start this fund for anyone, near or far, who wants to help in a tangible way. 

The truth is that cancer is going to have a major impact on them for a very long time.  Anything we can do to help alleviate some pressure would be so appreciated.
