Cora: she’s only a Senior once!!

This is my son’s girlfriend. She is one of the sweetest people anyone could ever meet. She has resilience beyond anything you can imagine. She is 17yrs old and a Senior, set to graduate in May 2019. She lost her mother at the very young age of 9. She doesn’t know her father, or even who he may be. She has had to move around 15 times in these short 8 years. She has never really had anyone to step up “for her”...for HER benefit. She has hardly any income, just enough to eat on a few meals a month with her friends. She very seldom asks for anything from anyone, but very appreciative of any- and everything anyone does for her. She is currently living with a friend and her family, just to be able to finish out her high school she’s attended for the previous 3 years. But we all understand what taking on another child, especially a Senior in high school can entail, financially. It’s a lot. And it’s a lot to ask of someone. Me and my husband help where we can (I.e.: school supplies, clothes here and there, meals, etc). I personally know very well what a Senior can cost, as mine just graduated this past May. I had zero financial help and wanted the best for him, for him to have the same as everyone else...so I worked 3 jobs for a year to be able to pay for it all. No, it’s not all necessities, but it was more about feeling the same as everyone else. She has no Senior ring & that breaks my heart. So I’m starting this gofundme for her, in hopes of her being able to have and do the same of everything that her classmates will have and be doing, such as Senior photo shoot, Senior trips, all the crazy t-shirt sales, new clothes for graduation and band banquet and prom, drivers’ Ed, drivers’ license, phone/phone service, etc. If a Senior has EVER deserved everything, she is definitely one...having gone through all that she has!! So, please just take your own child into consideration and just give whatever amount your heart feels!! She and our entire family will be forever grateful!! Thank you in advance for your compassion and giving spirits!! I set the goal high, in hopes of raising enough for everything for her last, big, expensive year!! In the event we reach the goal and money is left over, that will go towards a vehicle for her!! Thank you!!❤️
