A van CONVERSION for Cooper.

Our original fundraiser was to purchase a van and the GREAT news is that we raised enough for my sister to put a sizeable downpayment on a van to make very affordable monthly payments.  Thank you so much to everyone who got us there.  It is a great feeling knowing she has safe and reliable transportation for Coop.  Now on to phase 2.  The conversion.  Handicap van conversions are expensive so we are now looking to raise a bit of money to help with making the van adapt to Cooper's specfic needs.  Please share with your friends and help us give this fella a great Christmas with his family!

Cooper is my nephew and he has a rare disease called Metachromatic Leukodystrophy which you can read about here: http://www.mldfoundation.org/.  Cooper's mom Melissa is currently driving a Jeep Liberty with many miles on it and a lot of problems.  When she needs to transport Cooper, she has to wait for someone to come along to help her lift his wheelchair into the vehicle.  The wheelchair is heavy and almost too large to fit in her trunk area and it is impossible for her to load it on her own.  Additionally, Cooper sits in a car seat while in the car and the seat does not properly support him and causes him difficulty with his breathing.  The buckles on the car seat also cause discomfort around his abdomen near his feed tube port.  Cooper and his mom need a reliable and convenient vehicle to transport him to school, doctors visits and to run errands.  Please help us get them rolling!
