Cooper’s Story

Cooper is our beautiful Dogue de Bordeaux. He is just a baby - he will be one year old in September. This weekend, out of nowhere, Cooper has started having very severe seizures. During these seizures, his body convulses, he foams at the mouth, he loses control of his bowels and bladder, he runs round manically in a state of distress, his face contorts, his back arches and he loses all awareness. In the aftermath of the seizures, he is delirious, disorientated, confused, and can’t stop panting. Naturally, after his seizures, Cooper is completely and utterly exhausted from the immense stress that his body is being put through.

Cooper is the most loving, well-natured, placid, funny, charismatic dog you could ever imagine. He has brought our family nothing
but pure joy and happiness since the day we brought him home. We believe that Cooper did not have the best start to life, as he was extremely flinchy and nervous when we first got him, but he has entirely come out of his shell and clearly feels safe and loved with our family.

This has been the most traumatic experience for us, and it must be awful for Cooper. We want nothing more than to give him the proper care and medical attention that he needs but, as he is such a big dog, and due to complications with insurance, vets bills are extremely expensive, and we cannot fund this ourselves. We would be absolutely over the moon to receive any donation, no matter how big or small - it really would mean the world if it means we can get our little baby back to full health.

Cooper is just a baby and should not be suffering this sort of pain and distress. Please, if you can, try to donate anything possible. It would mean the absolute world - we just want Cooper home and well.
