Coopers journey with plagiocephaly

This is Cooper! He is almost 4 months old. Cooper has been diagnosed with severe plagiocephaly. Plagiocephaly (CMT) also known as flat head syndrome, affects nearly one in two infants today (47%). Plagiocephaly is characterized by the development of a flat spot on the back or side of head. Coopers case is severe as it is starting to affect his facial features. His ears are asymmetrical so he is also more prone to ear infections. He is going to Dallas treatment and imaging center where he is seeing a cranial specialist. He will be put in two different helmets. The first helmet he will be getting January 22nd. It’s a one band helmet that he will wear 5-7 weeks. During these several weeks mom (Brittany) will be taking him once a week every week to have the helmet adjusted. Once he hits 6 months of age he will be getting his second helmet which is a two band helmet and he will be in this helmet for several months. They will be traveling to Dallas every two weeks at this point. This week they got the news that their health insurance will not cover the helmets. They are looking at $4200 for the helmet alone. Monthly payments are $520 month. Between gas going to Dallas every week and having to pay the copay at dr visits which is $50-$75 it is a lot of money they are having to come up with. I am pleading with everyone to donate to this cause. Every little bit will help. Little cooper needs this help. It will not get better on its own. Treatment is the only option. Again I am pleading for y’all to help this family . I love all of them to the moon and back. They have been through a lot throughout their lives. Cooper starts his lil excursion with this long process next week. Prayers will also be very welcomed. Thanks so much in advance for all of yalls help.
