COOKONA first started small in 2016 with Sabrina renting a co-working space for chefs and baking her homemade cookies for the whole community in Barcelona via bike delivery each week.
In September 2017 she opened the doors of her beloved pastry shop for the neighbourhood in Eixample. As an Entrepreneur, she focused on the things that mattered the most to her: serving high quality cookies with fresh ingredients, an outstanding and special service to her clients and to offer a place for everybody, who wanted to escape home, if it has been for families, catching up with friends over a coffee and a cookie, a first Tinder date or a small business meeting.
In these 2 years COOKONA has become a second home for many Barcelona citizen and the first home for Sabrina. No partners or Investors, she is running her small business since then, opening for the community each single day to bake the best cookies possible.
On Friday, 13rd March 2020, following the worldwide pandemic of COVID-19 outbreak, the shop had to close among countless other businesses in Spain.
Since then we are calculating, finding a solution, what will happen to COOKONA. Sabrina has fixed payments: rent, loans, utility bills for the shop and also for herself being alone as an Entrepreneur running a small business in Barcelona. You can help with your fund to cover these basic costs, regardless of whether she can reopen or not.
COOKONA doesn’t want to say Goodbye forever, because Sabrina worked the last 4 years too hard to just close her little shop permanently. More than that, she wants to survive to reopen and to live all these special moments yet to come in our near future with you.
