Cooking Champions Winter Appeal

Help us raise £10,000 to support our vital community services this winter!
As we celebrate Cooking Champions' 2nd birthday in our Enfield community kitchen, we’re asking for something special…not gifts, instead we are reaching out to our supporters (and beyond) for a little help this winter.
You see, at Cooking Champions, we’re more than just a food bank - our kitchen is a place where homemade meals and human connection go hand in hand. Providing a warm, inclusive, comfortable space for people to socialise is a key priority for us.
As demand for our services soars, we need your help to continue being a lifeline for those in need. We are looking to raise £10,000 so that we can keep our essential services running through the winter ahead.
Your support will help us:
- Maintain our food bank services, which are seeing a staggering 92% increase in demand compared to last year.
- Cover our core costs to ensure we can continue operating twice weekly (costs include staff resources, rent, electricity, running of our van)
- Provide extra Christmas provisions, including homemade meals and hosting a Christmas lunch for our community.
- Purchase a new mobile phone to improve our outreach efforts and communication with those we support.
Why Your Support Matters:
At Cooking Champions we provide a holistic service that goes beyond simply handing out food parcels. Our twice-weekly lunches are a lifeline for many in the community - offering not only meals but also recipe cards, a safe space, and guidance to other essential services.
We work face to face, getting to know our guests on a personal level. We love seeing guests return, many of whom don’t have the opportunity to connect with others for the rest of the week.
We collaborate with other charities like Felix Project and Food Bank Aid to maximise the food we distribute and to help prevent food waste.
But to continue all of this good work, especially as demand grows, we need your help. If you can spare a little something to go towards our birthday fund, we’d be so grateful.
Together, let’s ensure no one in our community faces this winter alone.
